Orlando is one of the world's leading travel destinations. More than 35-million people vacation to this city each year, visiting the many attractions, beaches, theme parks, and events. Orlando is famous for being the theme park capital of America. Orlando theme parks include Disney World, Universal Studios, Discovery Cove, and Sea World.

Orlando also offers fabulous entertainment complexes with state of the art movie theaters, educational centers, parks and gardens, and many other unique attractions.

While in Orlando there are great bars and clubs to visit, but they are not conveniently located in one area. Although most claim to be in downtown, they can be as much as a ten or twenty minute drive from one to the other. It’s always an excellent idea to rent a car to make your visit easier and more convenient since this city is sprawled out.

Orlando has pockets of gay friendly neighborhoods that are young, hip, and cater to both gay and gay-friendly residents.  For the LGBT traveler, Orlando offers the freedom to let your imagination run wild. Besides the theme parks, the local LGBT community is spread all around Orlando and not concentrated in any particular area.  Experience some of the local flavor LGBT Orlando has to offer by visiting the Thorton Park and Lake Eola neighborhoods. Here you will find an array of local people – gay, lesbian, straight, bi, etc.  There are also great boutique shops and lots of restaurants to choose from. Another area of Orlando – just north of downtown is Lake Ivanhoe.  This small community features one of a kind shopping specializing in antiques and retro-wear.  The restaurants are also popular with the local LGBT Orlando community.  Parliament House is a national landmark per se, and features great bars and a showroom offering the best drag shows around.
