Griffith Park and Observatory

Encompassing over 4,107 acres of natural terrain covered with California oak trees, wild sage and Manzanita’s, Griffith Park is the United States' largest municipal park. The park it’s self is a great place to get away from all the high paced action of L.A. the mountains and trees make an ideal place for a romantic picnic or stroll around the park. Griffith Park is home to more than just a park. The Observatory perched high in the hill side features space related exhibits and star shows in the planetarium. Griffith Park also includes the L.A. Zoo featuring over 1,200 animals. The Zoo is open daily and is a great way to spend a few hours enjoying something other than shopping and beaches while in L.A.
