Los Angeles is the home of the stars, Hollywood, the gayest city in the Country West Hollywood, beautiful beaches, Disneyland (in Santa Anna) and so much more within the city itself.

You could easily spend weeks in Los Angeles seeing everything there is to see. Los Angeles unlike most major cities in the United States in a product of urban sprawl, so everything you want to see and do is not right in one city center. There are many different cities all within Los Angeles that are full of things to do. With all the things to do there are there is also another major draw to Los Angeles, it is becoming the Gay and Lesbian wedding capitol of the United States, now that California allows Gay and Lesbians the same right to get married.

As a Gay or Lesbian traveler you have to be sure to make West Hollywood an important stop during your trip to L.A. if not your home base. There are wonderful hotels, all with the most amazing restaurants and hip bars and clubs. West Hollywood is close to all L.A. has to offer and is the “gayest” place in the Country outside of The Castro in San Francisco. For Gay men WeHo is the place to be seen, and see those stars you are dying to see while in L.A. Some of Hollywood’s elite enjoy The Abbey, which is the “THE” bar to be seen at in WeHo.

Most of L.A. is gay friendly so no matter where you go you are going to be able to have a good time. In L.A. one of the best places to go for a good time is the Beach, there are many great Beaches in L.A. that you should check out. One of the best places to start is Venice Beach, although the water is not ideal for swimming the atmosphere at Venice Beach is one of a kind. Just a short walk or an even shorter drive up to the North West will bring you to Santa Monica Pier, home of the many movie sites, and a small theme park for the kiddies. If you are looking for a bit more beauty and quiet head up the coast a few more miles and you will come to Malibu.  There are more than a couple really beautiful beaches on the Malibu coast. If you’re in the South Bay area’s of L.A. Hermosa, Manhattan, and Redondo Beaches are great for sun bathing and surfing, even if you have to drive to get to them, a lot of locals consider these some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Southern California.

L.A. is also home of some of the most high thrilled theme parks in the Country, and of course the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. Just a quick jaunt down south the the Anaheim area you will find the Disneyland parks and Resorts, in addition to Disneyland there is also Knott’s Berry Farm’s, which is also a great spot to go for a family vacation, especially with the elementary aged children. If you trek a few mile north of L.A. to Valencia you will find the most expansive 6 Flags theme park Magic Mountain. There are some of the most high thrills rides anywhere, The massive Goliath Roller Coaster is sure to make you see stars, X2 one of the only flying coasters around will zip you through the air all while giving you a feeling of flying.
