Be sure to not hide your sexuality; if you decide on a place, call them and let them know you are gay or lesbian and on your honeymoon. If there is any sense of concern, then that destination may not be what you are looking for. Once at the destination, expect the best; any good honeymoon destination will provide amenities like champagne, chocolates, and flowers to newlyweds.

The most well-known couple’s only resort, Sandals, opened up their resorts to same-sex couples in 2004.  However, we recommend a non-Jamaican Sandals resort in order to avoid discrimination from the strict anti-gay laws in Jamaica. Always be cautious of where you decide to honeymoon.
