Anne Kolb Nature Center
751 Sheridan St.,
Hollywood, FL 33019

The Anne Kolb Nature Center is a Nature reserve holding animals that are native to South Florida. The sights are so stunning that most people consider their visit to the nature center as a highlight of their trip to Ft. Lauderdale, other than the beautiful beaches that is. Nowhere in the area can you find so much to do for little money, the entrance fee is $1, yes $1, and if you want to take the boat ride it is only $5, where else can you spend less than $10 per person and enjoy a full day of amazement. For a bit more money you can rent a kayak and spend a nice time as a couple paddling through the water. There are stunning views of the mangroves and the Intracoastal Waterway from many walking paths throughout the park as well as great views of West Lake. Another great destination to enjoy with your family, there are sprinklers for the kids to run through on hot days so make sure you bring a pair of shorts or a change of clothes.
