Navy Pier
600 E. Grand Ave.,
Chicago, IL 60611

Navy Pier is a top tourist destination in Chicago, mainly due to how family friendly it is. There is a giant Ferris Wheel, an I-Max show, miniature golf, and a Children’s Museum among other things.  If you are a solo traveler or here as a couple you may want to make the pier a pit stop while you are visiting Lincoln Park as it is not to far. Now don’t get us wrong it is still a fun place to go and there is good food at some of the restaurants, but it is a bit tourist trappy. Really though folks think Fisherman’s Warf in San Francisco, River Walk in San Antonio or Harborplace in Baltimore. You will have a good time here and it is fun to allow your inner child some time out. There are also lots of great running and biking trails for the fitness buff and great gardens and park area’s for a picnic. If you are into Theater the Chicago Shakespeare Theater is a must visit, even if you’re not that into theater, this is a great place to take in your first show, it is so great we almost made it a attraction by its self.
