Hancock Tower & Observatory
875 Michigan Ave.,
Chicago, IL 60611

Although it is not the tallest building in Chicago, in fact it is only the third highest, it still boasts the best views. On a clear day you can see beyond the other side of the lake, if you look in other directions you can see as far as Indiana and Wisconsin. If you ask any local which one of the buildings you should visit, they will mostly all tell you Hancock Tower. The observatory is filled with great facts and interactive learning stations making it great for the kids. At the entrance to the observatory you will find many other great things to do with the family, making this attraction an enjoyable one for a few hours at least. Keep in mind to take the elevator ride to the top there is a $12 charge, but if you have AAA you can get them buy one get one free, there are also other local places you can get coupons from.
