  Chicago

Chicago is considered by many as the best of the "large" cities in the U.S. to others is it known as the “second city”, Second to where really depends on which coast you are from. Chicago is not only one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S. it is also one of the cleanest.

Once you arrive you will see why so many people call Chicago home, there are buildings as high and as far as you can see all surrounded by beautiful natural scenery as well. The architecture blends old world design with many new modern buildings as well. The old style buildings are something to marvel, especially for those visiting from other less dense areas.

The Chicago River runs right through the downtown area, there is some amazing architecture all around the river, at night when everything is lit up the river is an amazing site. There is so much to see while in Chicago, there are many different neighborhoods, each one different then the other, of course there is the Boystown/Lakeview area where you will find the majority of the gay culture in Chicago, along with Wrigley Field and Lincoln Park and Zoo.  There are many different neighborhoods around the city that are friendly for the gay and lesbian traveler. The North Side which is home to the emerging “gayborhood” Andersonville, The Loop area is ideal for travelers from the LGBT community as there is fine dining, shopping and theater all in the neighborhood.

While in Chicago there are some “must-eats” not only the “Windy City” Chicago is also a meat lover’s paradise. You will find some of the best Italian Beef, Polish Dogs, Sausages, Red hot’s and of course the Chicago version of a Hot Dog.  Of course there is one other traditional Chicago dish you must try, the Deep Dish Pizza’s here are to die for.
